Lawless Surnames

I'm messing around with the surname of one of my super dysfunctional fictional families and I thought I'd ask for some input. Mothers first name as of this moment is Margaret. I was looking for something dowdy and plain since she's raging against being anything less than larger than life by being delusional and forcing said delusions onto her children. She's named her son Valentine and her daughter Sparrow. Both are teenagers if that means anything to you.

I hate being ripped out of something that I'm reading by a name that I find really difficult to pronounce so I've gone through the pains of finding names that I think must seriously be easy to pronounce for everyone that also happen to be a little less common than most Spanish names. I'm looking into different origins for their last name so really, this is just me trying different things on them. Anyway, below is one poll broken into two questions, pick up to three names in total, please.

I reaaaally like Silva as a last name. Like you wanted, it's pretty basic, but it also has the potential to be more than that, especially when you put it with the kids' names. Other than that, I kind of like Cortez as well, but I've always loved saying that name aloud :]

Silva is one of my favorites. I haven't been in the mood to give them middle names but have been hoping that they'd flow together.

I picked surnames that wouldn't clash with how their first names sounded. Silva is really lovely too but something just doesn't click when I say 'Sparrow Silva' out loud.

It's true! I was kind of hoping middle names might help some of them flow together but how often do we use a characters complete name, middle and all, you know?

I really like the names Cortez, Silva, and Castanon. Same goes for Garza :) All of these surnames are really cool!

I genuinely can think of at least two different ways to pronounce all of the last names except the three I voted for.

I'm going with the idea that people know general bits of spanish pronunciation. These are names that are among the easier ones but if you don't have any handle on it, it might still be hard. :) Glad you were still able to pick three!
